Configuration information for using the SLUUG mail service:

• Spam scanning
• Filtering using procmail
• Filtering using Mozilla
• Filtering using Netscape

Mail clients:

This section has not been updated for the 2008 change from AIX to Debian. See the Mail Setup page for more current information on mail client configuration.

• Local access to mail is available using the standard "mail" command along with additional, more advanced, mail tools we have installed. Currently we have pine and elm on michelob.
• Currently, only the POP protocol is supported on michelob and POP and IMAP are supported on dark.
• We do not support advanced authentication schemes or encryption of POP/IMAP sessions unlss you do your own tunneling using ssh.
