      Setting Up Webalizer
                              by Lee Lammert

Webalizer - pretty pictures from your web site usage statistics!
Learn how to install and configure, ... see examples from SLUUG.org and
other sites.

The Webalizer is a GPL application that generates web pages of
analysis, from access and usage logs, i.e. it is web log analysis
software. It is one of the most commonly used web server
administration tools. (source: Wikipedia). It is one of the
more simple and straightforward tools and a good place to start.

Lee Lammert is the treasure of SLUUG who, in his alter ego, is the mild
mannered chief scientist of OMNItec, a company that provides network,
server, and consulting solutions. But, when the BatSignal shines in
the sky, he jumps outta the hot tub and puts on his cape and cowl and
slides down that brass Batpole into The BatCave...

"NASA's Planetary Exploration From Mid-Town St. Louis",
 an illustrated lecture by
Richard Heuermann of Washington University, will
be featured at the May meeting of the St. Louis
Astronomical Society. McDonnell Hall is accessible
from Forsyth Boulevard via Tolman Way. The event,
cosponsored by NASA's Missouri Space Grant
Consortium, is open to the public free of charge.

Rich will explain how St.Louis scientists play a prominent
role in the exploration of our solar system. NASA's robot
spacecraft and orbiting telescopes are actively
exploring planets, moons, comets, and asteroids,
from Mercury out to Saturn. One spacecraft is
well on its way to Pluto. Images and data are
beamed back to Earth to be archived in St. Louis
and studied by planetary scientists from all over
the world. It is here that all of the images and
instrument readings for solid surfaces from all
NASA missions, past and present, are stored and
cataloged. It is in St. Louis, at Washington
University and UM-St. Louis, that scientists are
studying the origin of the Sun, Earth and the
other planets; the evolution of planets and
moons; the location of metal, mineral, and water
resources on the Moon; indications of prehistoric
water on the surface of Mars, and other topics on
     the frontiers of planetary science.

	   Rich Heuermann is the Outreach
Program Coordinator of the NASA Missouri Space
Grant Consortium at Washington University. A
Webster Groves resident, he is also an amateur
astronomer and long-time member of the Saint Louis Astronomical Society.
