BASE: Using a Tiling Windows Manager
by James Conroy
In computing, a tiling window manager is a window manager with an organization of the
screen into mutually
non-overlapping frames, as opposed to the more popular approach of coordinate-based
stacking of overlapping
objects that tries to fully emulate the desktop metaphor.
This session might show factors common with both personal and enterprise computing.
MAIN: Visual Studio Code
Installing, Configuring, and Using
by Scott Granneman
Visual Studio Code is a free, open source editor for coding in almost any language you can
think of, and it
runs on all major platforms. It's really good, and is improving rapidly every month.
In fact, it is now the #1
developers editor according to the Stack Overflow 2019 Developer Survey. In this talk
I'll cover installation,
how VSCode works, the interface, key features, extensions that Web developers in
particular might want, and
configuration, including keyboard shortcuts.
