ZoneMinder is a free, open source Closed-circuit television software
application developed for Linux and FreeBSD. It is released under the
terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).
ZoneMinder is an integrated set of applications which provide a complete
surveillance solution allowing capture, analysis, recording and monitoring
of any CCTV or security cameras.
It is a full-featured, open source, state-of-the-art video surveillance
software system. Monitor your home, office, or wherever you want. Using
off the shelf hardware with any camera, you can design a system as large
or as small as you need.
Ken Johnson will present an overview of Zoneminder, an open source package
that can perform motion detection and selective storage on video feeds.
Ken will discuss capabilities and hardware and software requirements,
perform a demonstration installation, and discuss practical experience
from using Zoneminder for several years.
