TOPIC: Linux at the Open Network Laboratory (ONL) at *WUSTL Abstract: The ONL is a *remote laboratory *for the networking research and educational communities, designed to enable *experimental *evaluation of *advanced networking concepts* in a realistic working environment. Dr. Parwatikar will: - present a brief overview of the ONL, - describe the evolution of the ONL from *custom-built routers to Linux-based systems*, and - discuss technical issues on the use of Linux and the *Ubuntu* distribution in this environment. *Presenter Bio:* Dr. Parwatikar has worked as a research associate in the Applied Research Laboratory in the Computer Science dept at Washington U since 2000. She is involved in the development and maintenance of the Open Network Laboratory (ONL), and various research projects in the area of networking.
