TOMORROW is the Red Hat Linux user Group mtng.
If you go, please mention that you are with/found out about it from SLUUG! It’d
be nice to remind THEIR members that WE (i.e. SLUUG) exists.
It starts at 11:30AM. Notice that in 1 of the 2 postings they say they will be
PROVIDING LUCH delivered to your door via DoorDash. I suspect that means you should
sign-up for such ASAP, as there must be some time limit/cut-off!

"RSVP" doesn't register you for the event. You must register via the link
above.
Join us at the upcoming (virtual) STL Red Hat Users Group meeting for lunch and
conversation! Registered attendees will be provided complimentary lunch via DoorDash,
sponsored by Red Hat.
The Red Hat team will discuss Cloud-native vs. Kubernetes-native and why Red Hat OpenShift
Container Platform is the platform for your Kubernetes-native journey.
The Red Hat team will also discuss and demonstrate Red OpenShift Virtualization and Red
Hat OpenShift Container Storage.
The Red Hat team will show how traditional virtual machines can be deployed to Red Hat
OpenShift Container Platform in a kubernetes POD and configure storage for the virtual
machine using the Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage Operator.
This use case is so important in the Journey to Kubernetes and the Developer community, as
no workload is left behind! Developers get a consistent developer experience across
virtual machines, containers and serverless.
Not all workloads are suitable for containers. Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization with Red
Hat OpenShift Container Storage allows these workloads (Linux and Windows) to participate
in all the goodness that Kubernetes provides to modern container and serverless workloads.

Passionate about open source? Join us at the first ever Virtual St. Louis RHUG!
Please make plans to join us for virtual peer-networking and engaging presentations on
Kubernetes-Native via OpenShift® Virtualization and OpenShift Container Storage.
As the industry has focused on Kubernetes being the standard for containerized workloads,
the adage Journey to Cloud has evolved to Journey to Kubernetes.
Red Hat® solutions are open source, cloud-native and built for Kubernetes. Red Hat
solutions best position customers to realize their Journey to Kubernetes goals.
In this 90-minute session, the Red Hat team will explain the difference between
Cloud-Native versus Kubernetes-Native. We will present and demonstrate the features and
value of two Red Hat technologies that will assist our customers in their Journey to
Kubernetes goals: OpenShift Virtualization and OpenShift Container Storage.
OpenShift virtualization enables IT organizations to bring standard VM-based workloads to
Kubernetes, helping eliminate the workflow and development silos that typically exist
between traditional and cloud-native application stacks.
OpenShift Container Storage is persistent software-defined storage integrated with and
optimized for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Dynamic, stateful, and highly
available container-native storage can be provisioned and de-provisioned on demand as an
integral part of the OpenShift administrator console.
