Last week at the monthly, general mtng on Wed, Lee Lammert
showed us how utilizing the features of the BTRfs file system allowed for
the recovery of files that COULD have been lost!
So tonite...we back off a bit to look at "the big picture".
This will give you that understanding that will prepare you. In a future
mtng (or 2) we will get into the details then into the intermediate /
Practical Ops (for sysadmins using Snapper, subvolumes, RAID,...)
That will lead to Deep Internals / Engineering Analysis (for kernel-savvy,
filesystem experts).
Lee's level 100 intro (that was a demo of recovering an FS) was
last Wed at the general mtng. Recordings and materials of last week's

The Saint Louis MO, STL Linux Users Group (STLLUG) meets monthly to talk
