CentOS Stream 8 is designated an upstream (development) branch of Red Hat Enterprise Linux - a continual Beta release. Oracle Linux has been a tracking release of RHEL since 2006. This presentation will review the Oracle Linux operating environment and how it is a great CentOS alternative. We will also cover Oracle’s involvement and commitment to Open Source software.” Bio: David Gilpin is a Principal Product Manager in the Oracle Linux & Virtualization Team. He has been with Oracle for over 12 years. His background includes many years in IT including hardware, storage, networking and software.
