Tomorrow nite is the monthly SLUUG general talk. As usual, it will be on Zoom.
That link will probably be available tomorrow.
I’m not sure if Wendell intends to keep his talk up at the level of the “Firewall
specs” but I’m sure if someone wants to delve into the FreeBSD in some of the Q&A, I
bet we’ll have the time.
Spread the word, please!
(Also spread about the tutorial on NomadBSD!)

… … ... PLEASE try to think who might be interested
and INVITE THEM to the coming mtng.
Last month was great as we had 2 speakers from the FreeBSD Foundation.
(Something from the
horse's mouth…) So, this month we’ll get some more BSD but also have a main talk
on pfSense for
those who aren’t into BSD.
Thats one of those “half-truths”. pfSense is a firewall/router that you can
just learn to utilize
as a tool…but, if you really want to look under the covers, it is a system based on
FreeBSD.
Our own Wendell Barber will be telling us about it.
The basic/tutorial session will be about NomadBSD. Altho a separate distro, it
is a fork from FreeBSD.
The talk is by our member and frequent speaker, Ken Johnson.
Wednesday @6:30 & at 7:00.
