TOPIC: Its Only Logical: Logical Volume Manager (LVM) by Steven Lembark
Time: August 21, 2025 18:00 Central Time (US and Canada)
LVM saves quite a few problems, from dealing with UUID's on disks,
cleaning up your /etc/fstab, managing space on live systems. Problem
is that most people never really learn just how simple it is to use
LVM. This talk describes the basics of LVM use on linux (and hpux,
for that matter) along with features like mirroring and thin pools.
If you are still using partitions, you are only making pain for
yourself. This is a great (yet technical) talk for relatively new
users....ie important for running your own system.
