THURSDAY (TONITE) 6:30pm
ANDROID LINUX CODING.
A Crash Course in Android Game Development StL MobileDev
Meeting moved to Thursday 7/29/10 (due to a space conflict)
In this talk I will be demonstrating writing a simple Android game. If
you wish to follow along you can bring you laptop (totally optional),
please have Eclipse 3.5 and the Android SDK preloaded as I won't have
time to cover this. I will be using the 2.1 SDK (Cupcake) for this talk
but will only use features that have been available from 1.6 and later.
My main goals for this talk will be:
* How to create a View
* How to draw Bitmaps and Shapes in the View
* How to respond to user input
If we have extra time we might add a little game logic to the project. I
plan on spending about 2 hours on the subject.
