6:30 BASE/tutorial: Secure Linux to Linux Shares by Stan Reichardt
Mostly about using sshfs to securely share directories of files betweenLinux machines,
instead of SAMBA. Demonstration will show both Command Line Interface (CLI) and
Graphical User Interface (GUI) useage.
SSHFS (SSH Filesystem) is a filesystem client to mount and interact with directories and
files located on a remote server or workstation over a normal ssh connection. The
client interacts with the remote file system via the SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), a
network protocol providing file access, file transfer, and file management functionality
over any reliable data stream that was designed as an extension of the Secure Shell
protocol (SSH) version 2.0.

~7:15 Conversation
~7:30 MAIN: Grand Unified (Color) Theory: Meet Roy G. Biv
Every second we are conscious, our eyes send color signals to our brains for processing,
but we are rarely conscious of that process. How do we actually perceive color in our
environments, on our monitors, in printed materials, & in films? What does it
really mean to be color blind? How has color been presented in art? What’s the
difference between RGB & CMY? And why do our brains play cognitive &
physiological tricks on us when it comes to understanding color, motion, perspective &
other optical illusions? All these questions & many more will be covered in our
upcoming talk by Scott Granneman & Jans Carton.
